Elementary Summer Program
CLASSES FOR STUDENTS ENTERING 2ND & 3RD GRADE IN FALL
Our Elementary summer program is a great place for both brand-new dancers and those continuing their dance journey to explore, learn, and grow. Whether your child is stepping into dance for the first time or building on past experience, classes focus on developing skills, confidence, and a strong understanding of movement in a fun and encouraging environment.
Dancers are encouraged to try multiple styles, and our summer schedule makes it easy to do just that. This is also a great time to begin adding technique classes like Ballet, Acro, and Leaps/Turns/Jumps to build strength, coordination, and a solid foundation for future growth.
Summer offers the perfect opportunity to try something new or take the next step—without a long-term commitment—while staying active, engaged, and inspired.
Momentum Dance Lab
At this four-day youth camp, dancers ages 6-9 get to experiment with every style of dance, plus fun extras like acro and leaps/turns/jumps. Team games bring dancers together, building new friendships along the way. For continuing dancers, this camp keeps their skills fresh and offers a strong foundation heading into summer classes.
WHO: students entering 1st through 4th grades
WHEN: Monday June 15 through Thursday June 18, 1-4pm each day
PRICE: $165 includes free t-shirt
Four-week summer session: July 6-30
Classes run for four weeks and may end with a parent performance during the final class. We encourage both new and returning dancers to take multiple styles in order to discover their favorites. Classes are scheduled with back-to-back options for parent convenience.

Elementary Class Descriptions
Acro 1
Acro is “tumbling for dance”. This class is designed to work on gymnastics and hip-hop tricks on a both a mat and a dance floor. Students will develop strength, technique, and flexibility skills.
Ballet 1
Dancers learn foundational ballet technique including positions, terminology, and simple combinations at the barre and center. Emphasis is placed on posture, alignment, and control.
Contemporary/Lyrical 1
Explore movement and expression through contemporary and lyrical dance! This class focuses on basic technique, fluid movement, and connecting emotion to music. Dancers will build strength, coordination, and confidence while learning expressive choreography in a supportive environment. Dancers must also be enrolled in Ballet 1 to take this class.
Hip Hop 1
This class uses easy-to-follow choreography, fun grooves, and high-energy music. Dancers will build confidence, coordination, and style while learning to move to the beat in a positive, encouraging environment. Perfect for beginners and as well as those with previous dance experience!
Jazz 1
Learn upbeat choreography while developing turns, jumps, and coordination. This class focuses on confidence, musicality, and style in a positive environment that’s perfect for both new and returning dancers.
Leaps, Turns & Jumps 1
This class focuses on the fundamentals of leaps, turns, and jumps while building strength, coordination, and confidence. Great as an add-on to any style class. Taking Strength & Flexibility beforehand is strongly recommended to help dancers warm up and get the most out of class.
Pom 1
This fun, high-energy class includes exciting choreography, simple jumps, and strong arm movements. Dancers will build confidence, coordination, and performance skills while dancing with friends in a positive and encouraging environment. Perfect for beginners and dancers ready for something new!
Strength & Flexibility 1
Dancers build core strength, flexibility, and alignment through guided exercises designed to support leaps, turns, and jumps. Strongly recommended before LTJ.
