ABOUT US
The Power Of Dance, LLC is an All-Star Dance Studio offering classes and competition teams based on the guidelines set forth by the United States All-Star Federation. These guidelines include age divisions, style descriptions and progression recommendations as well as safety protocol. We also belong to a national studio affiliate called “More Than Just Great Dancing” that has a huge impact on our studio and team culture. Our contemporary approach to teaching combines strong technical instruction with fun creative choreography. It is our mission to create well-rounded dancers by offering the highest level of dance instruction in a safe, positive environment. Our teachers strive to not only educate but to encourage, challenge, and inspire dancers of all ages and skill levels to become the best they can be. The Power Of Dance is located in a large 9600 ft² facility which includes 4 huge professional studios with semi-sprung dance floors, viewing windows in each studio, multiple waiting areas, and the Dancer’s Closet retail store.
Meet the Staff Who Make POD Possible
The Power Of Dance was the dream of two sisters – Theresa Perenick and Elizabeth Powers – that became a reality in the fall of 2007. The dream was to create a studio where ALL are welcome regardless of age, experience, gender, skill, or background; a place where relationships are formed, students encourage each other, and dancers feel at home; place where each student is given personal attention, encouragement, and the skills needed to improve, where high energy style is the norm, and where a love of dance, sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance are taught each day. Based simply on the reputations of the owners, POD registered 90 students before the walls of the studio went up and ended up with almost 190 students that first year. As their studio continued to grow, owners Elizabeth and Theresa curated a staff of talented, caring teachers and support personnel whose ultimate goal is to make sure that every dancer has a home at POD. Now in its 17th season, Power Of Dance has built a legacy on its exemplary Academy program as well as its award-winning All-Star competitive program. Our dedicated staff creates an environment where all dancers can discover the joy of movement, build confidence and strength, and nurture creativity.

The Dancer’s Closet
The Dancer’s Closet is our in-house store where dancers and their families can get everything they need. We stock a variety of shoes, tights, leotards, dance shorts, undergarments and accessories for practice as well as performance. Our helpful staff can assist you in fitting dance shoes and finding exactly what you need for the entire season. In addition, we have a wide selection of POD-branded apparel for both dancers and fans, as well as dance bags and other Power of Dance merchandise.
