Acro Summer Program
CLASSES FOR AGES 3-18
Our acro program focuses on “tumbling for dance,” combining gymnastics and hip-hop tricks on both a mat and a dance floor. Dancers build strength, flexibility, coordination, and body control while learning skills that can be incorporated into many different dance styles. Classes emphasize proper technique and safe progressions in a fun and supportive environment.
Dancers new to our acro program should enroll in the Foundational class that matches their age. Those with previous acro experience may request an evaluation to determine appropriate placement.
Four-week summer session: July 6-30

Introduce your preschooler to the basics of tumbling! Each week includes a new obstacle course focusing on gross motor skill development through active play and meaningful movement.
Intro to Acro (K-1st grade)
An introduction to “tumbling for dance!” Dancers learn basic skills such as rolls, headstands, beginner cartwheels, handstands, and bridges while building strength, coordination, and body awareness. Class also includes age-appropriate conditioning, stretching, and flexibility work.
Acro 1 (2nd-3rd grade)
Dancers build foundational acro skills including cartwheels, headstands, kickovers, bridges, and handstands. Focus is placed on proper technique, control, and flexibility while introducing more advanced rolls and balancing skills.
Acro 1+ (4th grade and up)
A great starting point for older beginners or those continuing to build their acro foundation. Dancers work on skills such as dive rolls, handstands, backbends, kickovers, one-handed cartwheels, and more while developing strength, technique, and flexibility.
Acro 2
Instructor approval required. Builds on foundational skills with more advanced tricks such as front limbers, back walkovers, roundoffs, aerial progressions, and handstand walking. Emphasis is placed on strength, flexibility, and connecting skills together smoothly.
Acro 3 & 4
Advanced acro training focused on strength, flexibility, and performance quality. Dancers are challenged with higher-level skills and dynamic combinations used across dance styles.
