Junior Faculty
The junior faculty program allows our more experienced dancers to take on a leadership role in classes, as a demonstrator, classroom helper, or teaching assistant. These students gain valuable experience teaching and working with children, build relationships with younger dancers, develop leadership skills and earn volunteer hours.

There are so many incredible benefits to taking classes at the Power Of Dance. Learning and performing dance provides community, socialization, relationship building, mentorship, and of course physical activity. At the POD, we take this a step further by committing to your child’s overall development- physically, emotionally, and intellectually. Your child belongs at the Power Of Dance! All are welcome, whether its your child’s first year in dance or they’re a graduating senior, we are committed to helping your child reach their full potential.
For dancers with strong passion for dance and a desire to challenge themselves, we offer several levels of competition teams. All teams provide additional performance opportunities, accelerated learning pace and higher standards of perfection, practice in continual improvement, and a family atmosphere within their team.
Performance Teams
PERFORMANCE TEAMS are the best fit for those who are relatively new to dance and for those who want to continue participating in other activities. These teams meet once a week in addition to ballet. Teams learn one or two routines in the styles of pom, jazz or hip hop. These teams perform at our charity showcase and a public event as well as two to three local competitions, plus the year-end recital.
Stellar & Eclipse Teams
These teams practice twice a week in addition to ballet and learn two or three routines Possible styles of dance are pom, jazz, hop hop, and contemporary/lyrical, with kick team as an additional option. These teams perform at our charity showcase, at least four competitions, and the year-end recital.
STELLAR TEAMS offer the opportunity to compete more often without a huge travel commitment. These teams attend four to six competitions, most of them being local.
ECLIPSE TEAMS are designed for dedicated and seasoned dancers, and requires an additional technique class. These teams compete at four to seven local and overnight competitions, and may travel longer distances to compete.
ITEMS IN RED ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT DATES FOR ALL STUDENTS. The end of the year Recital is our final showcase of everything your child learned throughout the season. We are pending confirmation of these dates but please be aware that EVERY STUDENT should attend. We will send out an email once the dates are confirmed. Thank you!
