Elementary Program
CLASSES FOR SECOND & THIRD GRADERS
Our Elementary program is designed for 2nd and 3rd graders who are ready to grow their skills, explore new styles, and build confidence in a positive, supportive environment. Whether brand new to dance or continuing their training, students develop coordination, musicality, flexibility, and performance quality while also strengthening important life skills like perseverance, responsibility, and teamwork. It is also a great time to add technique classes such as Ballet, Acro, and Leaps, Turns & Jumps to build strength and a strong foundation for future success.
Performance classes include a costume and a choreographed routine to be showcased in our year-end recital. Performance class options include ballet, jazz, pom, hip hop, and tap. Technique and skills classes meet weekly to focus on developing specific dance skills but do not learn a recital routine or perform in the year-end recital.
2026-27 School-Year Session
Classes meet weekly from August 31 to our recital (usually early May). Parents are invited in several times a year for formal observation weeks, and are welcome to watch class any time via the monitor in our lobby. Dancers this age are encouraged to take two to four classes in order to experience multiple styles and accelerate their growth. Classes are scheduled with back-to-back options for parent convenience. All classes except Acro and Leaps, Turns & Jumps perform in our year-end recital.
If a class is currently waitlisted and you are interested in enrolling, please add your dancer to the waitlist. Class placements often shift, and we frequently open additional sections when there is enough interest. Joining the waitlist is the best way to ensure we can accommodate as many dancers as possible.
See Our Performance Classes in Action!
From the high energy of hip hop and pom to the creativity of jazz and the musicality of tap, our performance classes give dancers the opportunity to learn new skills, express themselves, and experience the excitement of performing on stage. Throughout the season, students build confidence, make lasting friendships, and work toward showcasing their hard work in our year-end recital. Watch the video to see our dancers in action and discover the class that might be the perfect fit for your child!
As dancers grow, technique training becomes an important part of their development. Our Acro and Leaps, Turns & Jumps classes are excellent additions to performance classes, helping students improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and overall technique. These classes focus on skill progression and proper foundations rather than learning recital choreography, allowing dancers to build confidence and continue advancing in all styles of dance.
