Ballet Program
CLASSES FOR AGES 5-18
Our ballet program provides a strong technical foundation rooted in classical training methods from French, Italian, and Russian styles. Dancers develop proper technique, posture, and alignment while learning to create graceful lines, fluid movement, and overall control. Throughout their training, dancers are introduced to and build their understanding of ballet terminology in a structured and supportive environment.
Dancers new to our ballet program should enroll in the Foundational class that matches their age. Those with previous ballet experience may request an evaluation to ensure appropriate class placement.
2026-27 School-Year Session
Foundational classes (Pre-Ballet, Ballet 1, and Ballet 1+) are designed for both beginners and continuing dancers, and focus on building and strengthening fundamental technique at an age-appropriate level. Placement-based classes (Levels 2 and up) for dancers with previous experience, focusing on progressive skill development. Instructor approval is required.
Classes meet weekly from August 31 to our recital (usually early May). Parents are invited in several times a year for formal observation weeks, and are welcome to watch class any time via the monitor in our lobby. Dancers this age are encouraged to take two to four classes in a variety of styles in order to accelerate their growth. All ballet classes perform in our year-end recital.
If a class is currently waitlisted and you are interested in enrolling, please add your dancer to the waitlist. Class placements often shift, and we frequently open additional sections when there is enough interest. Joining the waitlist is the best way to ensure we can accommodate as many dancers as possible.

From a young dancer’s first plié to advanced pointe work, our ballet program provides a strong technical foundation while fostering artistry, discipline, and self-expression. This video highlights performances from dancers of all ages and levels, showcasing the progression and growth that takes place throughout our program. Throughout our program, each dancer is encouraged to develop strength, grace, musicality, and confidence while experiencing the beauty and joy of ballet.
Ballet is often considered the foundation of all dance styles, helping dancers develop the technique, strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness that support success in jazz, pom, contemporary, and more. For dancers looking to continue progressing, we highly recommend adding ballet to their schedule, even if their primary interests lie in other styles. Pairing ballet with a Leaps, Turns & Jumps class provides even more opportunities to refine technique, improve control and coordination, and build the skills needed to become a stronger, more versatile dancer.
