Acro Program

CLASSES FOR AGES 3-18

Our acro program focuses on “tumbling for dance,” combining gymnastics and hip-hop tricks on both a mat and a dance floor. Dancers build strength, flexibility, coordination, and body control while learning skills that can be incorporated into many different dance styles. Classes emphasize proper technique and safe progressions in a fun and supportive environment.

Dancers new to our acro program should enroll in the Foundational class that matches their age. Those with previous acro experience may request an evaluation to determine appropriate placement.

2026-27 School-Year Session

Foundational classes (Ninja Tumbling, Acro 1, and Acro 1+) are designed for beginners and continuing athletes, and focus on building and strengthening fundamental technique at an age-appropriate level.. Placement-based classes (Levels 2 and up) are for athletes with previous experience, focusing on progressive skill development. Instructor approval is required.

Classes meet weekly from August 31 through the end of our season (usually early May). Parents are invited in several times a year for formal observation weeks, and are welcome to watch class any time via the monitor in our lobby. Acro classes do not learn a routine and do no perform in the recital.

If a class is currently waitlisted and you are interested in enrolling, please add your dancer to the waitlist. Class placements often shift, and we frequently open additional sections when there is enough interest. Joining the waitlist is the best way to ensure we can accommodate as many dancers as possible.
