The Power Of Dance was the dream of two sisters – Theresa Kubalak and Elizabeth Powers- that became a reality in the fall of 2007. The dream was to create a studio where ALL are welcome regardless of age, experience, gender, skill, or background; a place where relationships are formed, students encourage each other, and dancers feel at home. A place where each student is given personal attention, encouragement, and the skills needed to improve, where high energy style is the norm, and where a love of dance, sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance are taught each day. The POD prides itself on innovation, with classes you won’t find anywhere else in the area. And they are all run with one simple idea in mind- what is best for the students? Based simply on the reputations of the owners, the POD registered 90 students before the walls of the studio went up and ended up with almost 190 students in 2007. Now going into it’s 8th year, the Power Of Dance boasts over 430 students with about 150 dancers in the All Star Competitive Program. Owners Theresa and Elizabeth have also been sought out for technique classes, private coaching, and/or choreography from 13 area high school teams.
