At Power Of Dance, we have been inspiring excellence through the art of dance since 2007.  Our recreational and competitive dance programs encourage children to appreciate themselves and others – celebrating their similarities and differences – in order to build relationships. We teach life lessons through the art of dance so that our students can become great people inspired to make a positive impact on the world.  We are looking to hire a superstar team member to take on the role of Assistant Business Administrator to help the Power of Dance fulfill its mission.

Our new Assistant Business Administrator will enhance the POD brand by teaming up with the owners and other administrative staff to make sure we are using our resources efficiently and effectively This team member should be comfortable running numbers, tracking and analyzing data, and seeking answers to the question “Is there a better way?”. It is important that this person works with integrity and creativity, and has excellent organizational skills and reliability.

What you will do:

  • Become familiar with the United States All Star Federations (USASF) requirements and help make sure we are compliant and up to date. 
  • Help keep track of competition expenses including booking hotels for staff, registration fees, transportation, room blocks for parents, practice space, etc.  Communicate this information to our studio family
  • Help with our expense management – keeping track and making sure we are hitting our financial goals in regards to our costumes, dance store, and class fees.  Suggest ways for improvement.
  • Negotiating and keeping track of expenses related to our heating and cooling, internet, credit card and bank account processing, cleaning and maintenance. On occasion, this may include groundwork for securing services.
  • Aiding in the grand finale of our dance season – our end of the year recital.  Helping secure a location if needed, volunteers, and aid in the scheduling.  Help in the preparation to maximize sales and increase positive experiences for our families.
  • Evaluate and communicate ways to improve our bottom line while maintaining the values of serving families first.

Additional Information:

  • Background in dance is not necessary but is helpful.  Candidate must learn the ins and outs of the POD and be able to positively inform others of our mission.
  • Accounting and business experience desired.
  • Prior customer service experience and training in marketing is helpful. Must be outgoing and not afraid to ask questions.
  • Computer and internet skills required.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace and navigation of its programs, especially Google Sheets.
  • Part-time to start with potential for full-time.
